About / Contact

I’m a senior principal engineer at Skyscanner in London, working in developer enablement. It’s a great company and, of course, we’re hiring! Tech-wise, I’m interested in virtually everything but have particular interests in:

  • Software quality and automated testing
  • On the server side, Java and NodeJS
  • Linux, Docker, and automated configuration management
  • iOS development
  • Agile principles and the age-old challenge of how to make software development suck slightly less

Open source

I have a handful of small projects on GitHub, but spend the majority of my focus on Testcontainers, a Docker-based tool to aid integrated testing in Java. I created Testcontainers a few years ago, and continue to work on it along with some other excellent contributors.

It’s become moderately popular, and has sprung forks in a number of other languages.
